Open Position: Team Writer/ Content Producer

 

Africa Charts (Ihicore) is looking for a content producer to join our award winning team. Working in the “Entertainment Industry News” department here at Africa Charts will give writers/editors the opportunity to gain valuable editorial skills, as well as the ability to learn the web and print process. All while working with some of the continent’s most popular and talented musicians, actors, and producers.

• This is a full-time position
• Candidates must be able to work from home (company will provide needed equipment and data)

Responsibilities

• Write, edit, and proofread articles to create engaging content
• Assist the Editorial Team in generating new content topics
• Craft highly shareable and attention grabbing headlines
• Meet regular submission deadlines
• Keep up with industry technology and news
• Contributing to lists and brainstorming with teams

Qualifications

• Solid editing, writing, and copy-editing skills
• Passion for African music and movies
• A nuanced understanding of the African entertainment industry and trends
• Familiar with WordPress (open-source content management system)
